Rainbow Paints Supports MABCATA with Funding

Rainbow Paints has donated 5 million kwacha to the Malawi Building and Civil Engineering Contractors and Allied Trades Association (MABCATA) ahead of its Annual General Meeting (AGM) taking place this week, under the theme “Constructing the Malawi 2063 and Building Capacity for Sustainable Growth”.

Speaking during a Cheque presentation, Corporate Sales Manager for Rainbow Paints, Farook Naula Jungu, said it is the company’s responsibility to support institutions like MABCATA.

According to Naula Jungu, Rainbow Paints has partnered with the association for the past three years and felt it was important to extend support as MABCATA prepares for its the AGM.

Naula emphasized that contractors are always on the ground and deserve recognition and support.

“This is our gesture of solidarity and commitment to the growth of the construction sector,” said Naula Jungu.

MABCATA Vice President, Kondwan Kadango, said the upcoming AGM will bring together contractors from across Malawi both big and small to discuss challenges affecting the industry and to find solutions for moving forward.

Kadango said, “the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ben Phiri, has been invited as Guest of Honour to address issues surrounding the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and the delivery of quality infrastructure.

Kadango expressed delight at Rainbow Paints support, stressing that sustainability in the construction industry cannot be discussed without acknowledging partners like Rainbow Paints.
