‎Internal Auditors have been urged to execute their duties with integrity and courage to gain trust from both public and private sectors.

‎The call has been made on Tuesday in Mangochi, during this year’s Governance Forum opening ceremony, organized by Institute of Internal Auditors Malawi (IIAM).
‎
‎Speaking during the event, which has attracted different Internal Auditors and officials from various government and private sectors, Sunbird Tourism plc Chief Executive Officer, Samuel Mwale emphasized the importance of internal auditors in ensuring good governance in various institutions.
‎
‎Mwale who was the guest of honor at the event, said engaging Internal Auditors in evaluating the performance and activities of the organization, is crucial in building the trust of the Institution.

He called on the Auditors to equip themselves with right tools that can make their services attractive.
‎
On his part, Institute of Internal Auditors Malawi President, Msungeni Salanje described the forum as a wake up call for the internal auditors in the country to provide quality services that can assure good governance in various institutions.

‎This year’s Governance Forum is being held under the theme, ‘Currency of Truth: Governance as Strategy, Assurance as Proof’.
